Cookie policy
Cookies are small files a website puts in your browser to remember something. Some are needed for the site to work at all. Others tell us which pages get read. The second kind we do not set until you say yes.
1. How we ask for your consent, and how you withdraw it
On your first visit you see a banner with three choices: accept all, necessary only, or choose by category. Until you press something, the only cookies in your browser are the strictly necessary ones.
Your choice is kept for 12 months, then we ask again. You can change your mind at any time, through “Cookie settings” in the footer of any page. Withdrawal does not affect what was lawfully processed before it.
You can also delete cookies in your browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge all have a “Cookies and site data” section). If you block the strictly necessary cookies, parts of the site will stop working properly.
2. The list
| Name | Purpose | Provider | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
uitdesk-consimtamant |
remembers your choice in the cookie banner, so we stop asking on every page (stored in localStorage, not strictly a cookie) |
UITDesk | 12 months | strictly necessary |
| server session cookie | ties together the requests of one visit; used when submitting the contact and order forms | UITDesk (Hostinger) | until you close the browser | strictly necessary |
_ga |
distinguishes visitors, so we can count how many people read a page | Google Analytics 4 | 2 years | analytics — consent only |
_ga_* |
holds the measurement session state for the Analytics property | Google Analytics 4 | 2 years | analytics — consent only |
_fbp |
links a visit to an advert, so we know which advert brings customers | Meta (Facebook pixel) | 3 months | marketing — consent only |
If a provider adds another cookie, we update the table and the date above.
3. The categories, briefly
Strictly necessary. These make the site work: they remember your consent choice, tie the steps of a form together, and protect submissions from abuse. They need no consent, because without them the site cannot be delivered. We do not use them to track you.
Analytics. Google Analytics 4 tells us how many people arrive, where from, and which pages they read. It helps us write the guides that are needed, rather than the ones we find interesting. The IP address is anonymised, so we do not see your full address, and we do not tie the data to your name. Without your consent, Analytics does not start at all.
Marketing. The Meta pixel shows us whether an advert brought someone as far as an order. Without it we pay for adverts without knowing which ones work. It loads only after consent.
4. What we do with what we learn
We use the analytics data to understand which content is useful and where people get stuck. We do not use it to identify individuals and we do not sell it.
Google and Meta also process the data in their own interest, as independent controllers, under their own policies:
Both may transfer data outside the European Union, on the basis of Standard Contractual Clauses. Details in the Privacy policy, section 4.
5. The WhatsApp button
The chat button in the corner of the page sets no cookie. When pressed, it opens the WhatsApp app or website with our number filled in. The message leaves from your own WhatsApp account; Meta processes it under its own rules. If you would rather not go through Meta, write to contact@uitdesk.ro.
6. The application
The application at app.uitdesk.ro has no analytics and no marketing cookies. It uses only what is needed to keep you signed in and to remember what you left unfinished in a form. Nothing is measured there and no third-party code runs.
7. Changes
When we add or remove a cookie, we update the table and the date above. If a new category appears, we ask for your consent again.
